Highlights for May 2015
On Saturday, May 9, we will hold a Long Green Tara practice from 9:30 to 11:30AM, led by our special guest, Lama Karma Drodul! Please do not eat meat in the morning before the practice.
On Sunday, May 10, Mother’s Day, Lama Karma Drodul will teach, Recollecting a Mother’s Kindness: a Buddhist Perspective. Teaching will start at 10:45AM after a shortened meditation sitting from 10 to 10:30AM.
On Tuesday, May 26, we will hold a Guru Rinpoche Shower of Blessings Tsok practice. This is a feast offering to Guru Rinpoche and all enlightened beings, in which we share. Preparation is at 6:30PM. All are welcome. Try to bring a vegetarian snack or non-alcoholic drink such as cheese, crackers, cookies, chips, fruit, candy, nuts, juice, or soda.

May 3: Book study: Chapter 2 of Into the Heart of Life, by Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo. Laura Roth will facilitate.
May 15 – 17: Live webcast of Khenpo Karthar’s teaching at KTD on The Purifying Practice of Nyungne: Part 1. This teaching will be webcast all weekend: Friday, May 15, from 7 to 8:30PM, Saturday, May 16, from 10:30AM to noon and from 3:30 to 5PM, and Sunday, May 17, from 10:30AM to noon and from 2:30 to 4PM. Suggested donation of $5 per session is appreciated.
