Highlights for June 2016
On Saturday, June 4th, we will be exhibiting at the VegFest, sponsored by the Albany Vegan Network at the Polish Community Center on Washington Ave. Extension from 10AM to 5PM. Please enjoy and stop by to show your support.
On Sunday, June 5th, Lama Zopa will complete his teaching on the Four Thoughts That Turn the Mind to Dharma. This is an important teaching for those who wish to progress along the path.
On Saturday, June 11th, we will hold Long Green Tara practice, starting at 9:30AM. Please do not eat meat or eggs before the practice.
On Sunday, June 12th, Lama Zopa will teach about the Medicine Buddha and will give the mantra/dharani transmissions for both the Medicine Buddha and Shakyamuni Buddha.
On Tuesday, June 14th, we will hold a Guru Rinpoche Shower of Blessings Tsok. This is an offering of the 5 sense pleasures to Guru Rinpoche and all enlightened beings in which we share. Preparation is at 6:30PM. All are welcome. Please bring a vegetarian snack or drink such as crackers, cheese, nuts, fruit, cookies, chips, juice, or bottled tea.
On Saturday, June 18th, starting at 9:30AM, we will hold group Ngondro for those qualified.

June 5th: Lama Zopa will teach on the last 2 of the Four Thoughts That Turn the Mind to Dharma: Karma and Shortcomings of Samsara.
June 12th: Lama Zopa will give transmissions of the mantra/dharani for Medicine Buddha and for Shakyamuni Buddha.
June 19th: Video about the 16th Gyalwang Karmapa, Recalling a Buddha.
June 26th: Book study; introduction to Shantideva’s Way of the Bodhisattva.

June 7th: Chenrezig/Amitabha followed by Phowa practice for advanced students.

June 28th: Short Green Tara
Thursdays: The last Dakpo Targyen class before summer break will be on June 2nd, at 6:30PM.
