- 9AM Chenrezig and Amitabha sadhana
- 10 shamata (calm abiding) meditation and tonglen (compassion) meditation
- 11:15 Lama Zopa will teach on the “Four Applications of Mindfulness“. These are the first four of the thirty-seven factors of awakening whichare practiced throughout the entire path, from the path of accumulation up to the path of no more learning. There is much more to these four than is commonly understood in the West.

We cannot immediately grasp the more advanced practices, such as the Great Seal (mahamudra) or the Great Completion (mahasandhi), both of which lead to the result of primordial wisdom. For all of these higher level practices, we need a steady basis, which is none other than the correct practice of calm abiding.
