The Tang Museum at Skidmore College is presenting an exhibit of Tibetan art entitled The Second Buddha: Master of Time, related to Padmasambhava, the Tantric Master who established Buddhism in Tibet, from Feb 9 to May 19.The museum is open noon to 5 PM most days, closed on Mondays, and open till 9 PM Thursdays. On the weekend of April 27-30 Albany KTC will air a live webcast from KTD in which Khenpo Karthar Rinoche will teach on the Aspiration Prayer of Sukhavati. The schedule is: Friday 4/27 at 7:00 pm, Saturday 4/28 at 10:30 am & 3:30 pm, Sunday 4/29 at 10:30 & 2:30 pm. It will be shown on our big screen TV. Questions for Rinpoche can be submitted via email. This is a wonderful opportunity to receive teachings from our beloved master without leaving Albany!

On the Sunday after Thanksgiving we will present a video of Karmapa teaching on How to apply Ancient Wisdom in Modern Times. Continued on December,ber 10.
Our book study has begun on Karmapa’s latest book, Interonnected, Embracing Life in our Global Society, which is available now at the KTC book store. The format of the book study is that we take turns reading through the chosen section and then discuss it, so while prior reading is recommended,it is not required. We have covered Chapter 1 and it is very inspiring. Next session December 3.

On Sunday, August 6th, Clare Lowery gave a review of the 8 Brocades, Chi Gong exercises. Simple to do and most beneficial.
On Sunday, August 13th, we held our summer picnic at the Colonie Town Park, along the Mohawk River. The weather was beautiful and all enjoyed the food and company.
On Sunday, Sept. 10th, Khenpo David Karma Choephel returned to Albany KTC. He gave a one day program on Abhidharma, Buddhist Insights into Reality. We all enjoyed and benefitted from his clear introduction to this vast analysis of physical and mental phenomena.
